The Nokia 6020 is a simple & stylish mobile phone that comes with a built in camera feature for an element of fun. The phone comes in a graphite grey coloured casing which is attractive & modern. The phone comes with 3.5 Mbytes of memory so therefore the user will have plenty of storage space for their phonebook contacts, calendar entries, messages & photos. The handset weighs 90 grams which provides a solid but light feel. The handset comes with no opening systems & measures 106 x 44 x 20 mm including the battery. The Nokia 6020 comes from the same family as the Nokia 6070 & both phones have similar looks & style, but the Nokia 6070 comes with a higher specification of features.

The 6020 comes with a highly usable keypad which it lit up beautifully to enhance the keypads looks. The screen comes with a 65k colour display & provides a 128 x 128 pixel screen resolution. The Nokia 6020 comes with a built in VGA camera which really brings an element of fun to this simply stylish phone. The user can enjoy taking shots of friends, family & even their pets. The user can save their photos for personal viewing or send them the others using the multimedia messaging service. The camera feature allows the user to easily record a short video clip which can also be sent to others using multimedia messaging service. The phone comes with animated wallpapers, animated screensavers & coloured themed displays so the user can express their taste & style fully on the Nokia 6020.

The 6020 has a sensible keypad design and is a compact size. The joystick and rectangular keypad layout make it easy to use, and the menus are also intuitive, making it easy to access the phone’s functions. The personal organiser is well thought-out, with an extensive calendar function to manage your daily schedules, meetings, and events. Voice commands, an integrated handsfree speaker and fast data access complete the essential functions needed by most business users.
The phone comes with a basic digital camera and a camcorder capable of recording video clips of up to 50 seconds, but imaging is not the 6020’s strongest point. The small display with a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels is inadequate for a phone of this type and is one of the poorest in any phone of this class. Connectivity is also quite basic, with Bluetooth being an obvious ommission.

It seems that the 6020 is intended to be a budget business phone, but it might have been more successful if the camera and camcorder had been ommitted and a Bluetooth wireless connection and larger screen added. The 6020 is trying to be a jack of all trades, but is master of none.

The screen of Nokia 6020 seems weak for its class, compared with Sony Ericsson T630 it happened to be inferior in the number of shown lines and resolution, colour transmission indoors and with standard colour schemes of the menu. Middle-class models do already have screen with higher resolution and this very parameter is a weakness of Nokia 6020.
The keypad is made of plastic. The keys are rather big in size and join closely to each other. The motion is big and the keys are pressed with a click but softly. The keypad is very comfortable and that is a great step for Nokia. The backlighting is blue and the characters are seen almost in all conditions. The joystick is big and comfortable to work with.
