The Nokia 6085 is mobile phone which comes with high quality entertainment features for the user to enjoy. The handset comes with a fold open clamshell mechanism & has been design beautifully by Nokia with usability in mind. The 6085 has soft rounded edges & comes with dual screens which allows the user to view data both internally & externally. The external display has a black & white display on a FSTN screen with blue coloured LEDs. The user can view the time, data, battery status, signal strength & callers identification on the external screen. The high resolution main screen can be viewed when the handset is in the fold open position & provides clear & large size fonts on a 1.8 Inch 262,000 colour screen. The user will find the keypad situated below the main screen which has sculptured keys for easy text input. The Nokia 6085 has an internal antenna which is fitted into the 92 x 46 x 23 mm sized casing. The handset is easy to carry & handle which weighs 84 grams not including a fitted battery.

Nokia 6085 is one out of the most popular portfolio of Nokia series of mobile phones. Having an affordable price, Nokia 6085 is designed for easy use, emphasising a modern design with up-to-date technology. It is a quad band phone, working mostly in every part of the world. The simple uncluttered menu structure of the phone is easy to navigate. It has a clear keypad layout, and the elegancy of the phone is brought out by the black soft touch paint detailing, with chrome accents. It is also available in colour choices, including sand gold, royal pink, and seagull silver.

The Nokia 6085 takes its design cues straight from the 6086 (or is it the other way around?). Both have the same rectangular shape with rounded edges, but the 6086 is slightly taller (3.9 inches by 1.8 inches by 0.9 inch). Those dimensions make the 6085 a tad bulky for a flip phone, but it is relatively light and portable at 3.6 ounces. The handset comes in black, silver, pink, and gold–we reviewed the black version–so individualists can make a statement. The 1-inch exterior display is small (96×98 pixels) for the phone’s size and the monochrome resolution means it won’t function as a self-portrait viewfinder for the camera, which sits just above. The display shows the date, time, battery life, signal strength, and caller ID, but the tiny text is unchangeable.

The 1.8-inch (128×160 pixels) internal display is equally disappointing. Though it supports 262,000 colors, you’d never know it. Graphics and photos were grainy and the colors were dim. Fortunately, the simple menus are easy to use, but on the whole it was a disappointing experience. You can’t change the brightness or the backlight time, but you can change the font color and the font size.

Nokia 6085 features a low-end VGA camera with a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. If you want to be able to store more pictures in your phone memory you can change the resolution to 320 x 240 pixels or even lower to 128 x 96 pixels. There are some effects you can choose from such as: false colors, greyscale, sepia, negative and solarise – nothing out of the ordinary. More features of the camera include self-timer and image sequence. As you can see from the pictures below we can’t really talk about quality, as the camera is too weak to provide pictures that you would want to keep in your album.
