Nokia 6103

6103.jpgWeight: 3.42 ounces
Dimensions: 3.35 x 1.77 x 0.94 inches
Display: Resolution of 128 x 160 pixels Up to 65,536 colors

The 6103 is a clamshell phone that is attractive, compact and well designed, but too expensive for what you get. The VGA camera and low resolution screen are below average for phones in this price range. Although a video camera is included, it is primitive and there’s no flash for the camera. MP3 tracks can be used as ringtones, although the quality is not that great. The memory is tiny - just 4.2 Mbytes - which isn’t adequate for storing photos or ringtones. Overall quality control for the 6103 has failed miserably - read the user reviews below to find out just how many 6103’s have broken and are now in the bin. On the plus side, the keypad is quite nice to use and the phone is well laid out. There is also a voice recorder, and the phone has an FM stereo radio.

Overall the Nokia 6103 is little changed from the 6101, offering similar design, imaging, and audio features. While many devices have improved features, the 6103 is a bit disappointing with outdated technology. But being similar is not such as bad thing, especially when the 6101 was a well-built device with solid features. Straying from its predecessor, the 6103 is updated with Bluetooth wireless technology. Combined with its infrared port, the 6103 has an impressive set of connectivity features. But perhaps the greatest strength is its usability.
