A medium-sized candybar with a lot of nerves, Nokia 6233 is one of the current Nokia handsets that might interest you in case you are looking for non-smartphone 3G solution. What is more, the classic styled mobile offers a great TFT display, great stereo speakers, microSD card slot, and a 2 megapixel camera capable of capturing video in the exciting VGA resolution, just to name a few. Exciting is not the word to use when describing the phone itself, but as you would see if you read further on, it surely packs in some nice features.

The specifications list for the Nokia 6233 is substantial once you get past the conservative aesthetic. 3G compatibility is notable considering its size, but the omission of video calls is clearly a glaring oversight from Nokia for a genre which is known predominantly for this feature.
While the lack of video call capability is somewhat perplexing, the 6233 tries hard to make up for it with a bevy of other multimedia features included. A 2-megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom is built-in, as is Bluetooth and infrared connectivity, which provides compatibility with Bluetooth car-kits, wireless headsets, and other phones. Unfortunately, the 6233 won’t quite fit your old hardwired car-kit cradle though, so you’ll need to upgrade to the new CR-56 model to get it to fit. In addition to taking quality still mages, the 6233 also shoots excellent quality VGA video, and it plays back fluently on its first-rate QVGA resolution display.

The 6233 is a jack-of-all-trades with no outstanding features, but ticking enough boxes to make it appealing to a broad market, much like the old 6230i. It has a decent 2 megapixel camera (no flash unfortunately), a music player that can handle a range of formats and a stereo FM radio. A nice feature is the use of twin speakers to give a 3D surround effect. The sound quality is good, but not as good as when using stereo headphones. The 6233 comes with a 64 Mbyte memory card which is enough to get started, and this can be upgraded to 2 Gbytes if you’re serious about storing music on your phone. Bluetooth connectivity is supported, as well as USB and infrared. There’s also a good choice of 3D games, including a multiplayer option. Web browsing is fast, thanks to EDGE, and battery life is very good.

The Nokia 6233 comes complete with a 2 megapixel camera with 8 x digital zoom which is very easy to use & the zoom is very clear & smooth. The camera has a mode to allow the user to capture the perfect photo in either portrait or landscape. The 6233 also allows the user to take video recording which can be sent via email, sent via multimedia message service (MMS) or simply stored on the phones memory & viewed as desired. The phone comes with 70 mega bytes of built in memory which is great for storing all of the messages, videos & photos.
The sound quality on the Nokia 6233 is amazing due to the high quality sound produced by the stereo speakers & the 3D surround sound feature. The phone comes complete with a music player & built in FM radio which provide a really fun & personally feel to this phone.
