Nokia launched a new S40 clamshell media phone today. The 6267, as the device is known, is a quad-band GSM/EDGE handset that also supports UMTS 3G connections on the 2100 and 850MHz frequency bands, meaning that it should work in Europe as well as parts of North America.
The 6267 is aimed at the mid-tier market, and as such focuses on keeping cost, as well as complexity, down. The phone offers dedicated music controls on the exterior of the flip and has a 2 megapixel main camera for taking snapshots. Its microSD memory card slot supports cards as large as 4GB in capacity, which is enough for a lot of photos, videos, and music tracks.
Other standout features on the 6267 include a 16M color main QVGA (240×320) display, a 262k color 128×160 pixel external display, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The Bluetooth system supports A2DP stereo connections, which makes sense for a music friendly phone like the 6267.

Capturing events and playback of video clips and stills for family and friends is also easier and impressive with the new high speed video capability and two cameras, including a 2 megapixel camera with flash and 8X digital zoom. The Nokia 6267 utilizes 3G technology for fast downloads, Internet browsing and video calls. The sleek and compact fold phone also offers a large keypad and high resolution screen, calendar, organizer, and support for up to 4GB of expandable memory to store movie clips, images and music.

One interesting aspect about Nokia 6267 is that it allows the user to take captures both with the case open or closed. All that he has to do is press the side camera button when the shell is closed and the phone automatically displays the camera’s view on the external display. This is possible with photo shots and video recordings as well, all by pressing the side button again to start/stop recording or just to take a photo. There is one disadvantage in this, as there is no additional information displayed other than the camera’s footage. The user cannot know whether the phone is recording or not, for example, while the flash usually gives it away when a picture is taken. I’m not quite sure which the practical side of this capability is, but it’s still a pretty nifty feature.

The 6267 comes with thirty Mbytes of internal memory & with a memory card option which allows the user to extend their phones memory to suit their storage needs. The user can add a MicroSD™ hot swappable memory card to extend the phones memory capabilities up to four Gbytes which provides the user with high volume storage ready for all those fun pictures & video recordings to be stored for future viewings. The Nokia 6267 comes with a fitted battery which provides up to 6.5 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours of standby battery time from a full charge.

This is not the best RAZR we’ve seen, that honor is still held by the RAZR V3xx. Still, this phone does have a couple of advantages over the AT&T device. First, we like the updated look of the Maxx, it provides a nice evolutionary bridge between this phone and the KRZR. Second, the camera on [...]

The exterior design is nearly identical to the DMP-BD35. Compared with the sleek and glossy designs of Samsung and LG, the DMP-BD60 looks pedestrian, as if it has a job to do, rather than attract attention. The disc tray is in the center of the unit, behind an automatic flip-down door, and farther right is [...]
