The Nokia 6288 also includes dedicated camera and zoom buttons making it even more convenient to record a video or snap a picture of family and friends. Videos taken with the Nokia 6288 can be edited then sent via MMS and email, while Bluetooth technology lets you print pictures directly to any compatible picture printer. The Nokia 6288 weighs 115g and is available in striking cool-white and black colors.

The first impression of the phone is that it is a bit bulky (thick), although it’s width and height are completely normal. The sliding mechanism works very well, it is really easy sliding the phone up and down without much effort. When exposed, the numeric keypad feels very solid and it’s very easy to type with it. On the right side of the phone you will find the miniSD slot, the speaker and the PTT button. This button can not be re-assigned for another action. On the right side, there is the Vol+/Vol- rocker button and the Camera button. At the bottom of the device you will find the pop-opt port (handsfree, USB) and the power port (same as in the E61 and N800). On the top of the device there is IrDA and the On/Off button that also brings up the profiles menu. Profiles supported are: General, Outdoors, meeting, Flight mode, Silent and two user modes.

The beautifully sleek 3G mobile phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera which can located on the back of the mobile handset. The camera feature comes with user friendly camera & photo controls which allows the user to enjoy a full screen experience. The user can use the built in flash & digital zoom to ensure they get the snap the are longing for. The camera function can be used in the landscape mode which allows the user to access the dedicated zoom key & camera key easily like they would do on standard digital camera. The Nokia 6288 comes with a second camera which is used for the two way video calling feature. The second camera is a VGA camera which can be located on the front of the mobile handset. The user can have a face to face video call with any 3G video calling mobile phone users. The user can play & record high quality video footage on their phone which the user can share with others. The phone comes with a 3GPP video streaming feature which allows the user to enjoy live footage on their mobile phone.

The user can use their 6288 as a mobile jukebox which will store & play music when or where the user desires. The built in music player is easy to access from the main menu & allows the user to enjoy their taste of music when they are on the move. The user can download MP3, MP4, AAC & eAAC+ music file onto their Nokia 6288 & enjoy a lively music experience. The phone supports MP3, eAAC+, AAC & polyphonic ringing tones & the user can change their ringing tones & message alerts to suit their choice of music. The user can enjoy a visual experience with the video ringing tones feature.
