The 6681 incorporates a high quality 1.3 megapixel camera (1.23 effective megapixels) with a convenient protective slide. The camera has a flash with a range of 1.5m and a 6x digital zoom. There is also a video recording facility. Images can be printed directly from the phone to a compatible printer or kiosk using Bluetooth or USB cable, or transferred to a PC for processing. Video can be played back in full screen mode and the video player supports both MPEG4 and 3GP formats.
The music player supports MP3, AAC & RealAudio format tracks and provides stero output with a pair of Nokia HDS-3 stereo headphones provided as standard.
Nokia 6681 provides a 64-MB RS-MMC card. Good enough for the first few months atleast. You have an option of using RS-MMC for Inbox and Video Recording. This is good feature as it allows you huge downloads (via bluetooth) limited by your MMC card, and also long duration video recording. Card is hot-swappable, but we don’t swap cards everyday right ?
Ram is 10 MB good enough. We hardly use this if we set default inbox and video recording to MMC. Only used for apps I guess.
It is a stylish phone equipped with stereo speaker but no FM Radio. As nokia claimed that they arestereo heaset but I feel earphones demands some workout for more better result .Average quiality camera and even worst cheap camera lens cover.scereen is good with 262K colours For browsing this is quite good mobile.Impressive accessing speed than any other set in this class so no speed concern. Signal quality is good. Keypad is little difficult to operate due to curved buttons but you get used to very soon with keyboard. Overall we can say that this is 75% smart-phone so thare is need of some more innovations.
The model is available in three colours - Electric Blue, Pearl White and Light Silver (and the Nokia 6680 shows - Light Bronze and Blue Silver). The design of the models is completely the same; they may be distinguished only by the color and the second camera presence. The Nokia 6681 is 2 grams lighter, but its not noticeable.
According to the specs the models are equal in size, by personal feelings, the Nokia 6681 is a bit thinner (but so slightly to neglect like the weight). The Nokia 6681 (manufactured a month later) shows much better assembly quality than the Nokia 6680 (no backlash unlike the example of the Nokia 6680 we tested). These are typical first shipment problems solved in the first months of the phone manufacture.
Nokia decided on distinguishing the younger model with a reach package. It contains extra USB SD/MMC card reader and a hand strap (one of the ways of carrying the phone). Speaking about the additional software - a Snowboard 3D game was added and no other differences.
